Author Biography Christopher Van Buren has been a writer for over 20 years and has written principally about computers, self-help, and travel. He published over 15 books in the computer field, including Using Excel for the Macintosh (Que), The MacWorld Excel 5 Companion (IDG) and Poor Richards Creating E-Books (Top Floor Publishing). He recently finished a year-long project traveling throughout Brazil, doing research for his new book, Moon Handbooks Brazil, published in 2006 by Avalon Travel Publishing. In putting together Moon Handbooks Brazil, Van Buren covered over 3000 kilometers of Brazilian coastline, gathered more than 50 lbs. of research materials and stayed in more than 100 hotels and country inns. He first arrived in the historical town of Ouro Preto, Brazil, in 1998 and has been living in and exploring this vast country ever since. EMPLOYMENT
