Something To Think About~
Personal Message from Suze Curtis

 

We’ve all heard the words ~~ Love YourSELF ~~ in fact, so often, that they (the words) simply flow through our brains with no meaning or feeling.

 

Our current shift in consciousness urges us to “love” ourselves by:

a)      Meditation/Reading

b)     Time-To-Yourself

c)      Massages/Bubble Baths

d)     etc

 

These are all wonderful . . . and yet, when we return to the flow of life, we find ourselves “fighting” to keep the calm, compassionate, loving feelings we just experienced.

 

          What if “loving yourSELF” meant to STOP FIGHTING what you’re feeling?  

 

          Could you “LOVE” your Anger ~~ Your Selfishness ~~ Your Perfectionism?   

 

          All of my life, I’ve been called a Perfectionist.   For the longest time, I felt “guilty” when someone referred to me as such.  Then, I realized the “perfectionist” part of me is what gives me the ability to achieve & create the reality I experience today.

 

          As soon as I “LOVED (massaged)” the Perfectionist part of myself ~~ SAW ITS VALUE ~~ I found myself being more kind to “me” . . . and (or course) others  ~~ Simultaneously, when I stopped resisting (feeling guilty/dis-owning) my Perfectionism, its positive qualities flowed into my life naturally.

         

Most of us perceive Compassion & Kindness as the “right” way to be . . . designating Selfishness as negative & “wrong”.

 

          Of my four brothers, the 2nd to the youngest (in my mind) was very Selfish.  I used to get extremely angry with him when I observed (what I perceived as) his Selfishness.

 

          In my mind, I was better than him ~~ After all, I had the qualities of Compassion & Kindness honed to “Perfection” J     I was so “perfect” at taking care of everybody, that I could have labeled myself a Saint or Martyr.

 

          Of course, over time . . . and . . . great doses of exhaustion, frustration & anger ~~ “What about me?”  “Why do I feel “put-on-the-back-burner”?  “Am I of no value?”   ~~   I learned to “love/soak-in-a-bubble-bath-of” mySELFish part  J   My brother’s innate ability to "love himself first" was a mirror for me to see the part of mySELF I wasn’t “loving/meditating-on/giving-TIME-&-attention-to”.

 

          Could you love depression?  When you have no other excuse to STOP . . . your entire being ~~ body, mind, emotions, spirit ~~ gives you the opportunity to “clean out the old and make way for the new”.

 

          Could you love indecision?   When we vacillate back & forth, back & forth, back & forth ~~ we FINALLY make a decision out of sheer exhaustion.  That “exhausted feeling” stays in our cell

memory, helping us learn to “let go” more easily with future choices.

 

          Could you love judgment?   When we see (judge) what we “don’t like” in others, we are giving ourselves the opportunity to SEE that same thing in ourSELF.

 

          Could you love jealousy/envy?   When we’re jealous or envious, we can view it as INSPIRATION ~~ a motivation to keep growing.

 

          Could it be that we have mastered so well (what we perceive as) the “good parts” of ourselves that those good parts have become unhealthy? "To much of (even) a good thing..."

 

          Could it be that completely ignoring & resisting (what we perceive as) the “bad parts” of ourselves is to deny the opportunity to have complete, whole, balanced health? "If you don't use it, you loose it?"

 

          We were given ALL emotions to EXPERIENCE ~~ When we "love/experience" only what we perceive as GOOD... and... "not love/deny-resist" what we perceive as BAD, we literally create dis-ease in ourSELVES.

 

FEEL & LOVE ALL EMOTIONS (ALL parts of yourSELF)

 

          Begin acknowledging & LOVING “all” of yourSELF, even your (perception of) “bad parts” ~~

 

a)      Meditate-On/Read-Into your Anger  ~~  It’s giving you a guide-line to YOUR boundaries.

b)     Give Time-To-Yourself and be completely Lazy ~~ It gives you “time/space” to day-dream & create.

c)      Massage/Soak-In your Pride ~~ It allows you to see your value – your “self” worth.

"Healing across Time and Space"
