Something To Think About~
Personal Message from Suze Curtis

Loving someone but choosing not to join them on their journey can be an empowering choice.Being swayed by the illusion of guilt, however, negates any benefits.

            How many times in life have you found yourself making a decision that is completely “right” for YOU . . . and . . . almost immediately, you feel guilty?

When I initially divorced (20+ yrs ago) and moved away from home (followed my Spirit), I felt the STRONG impact of a value system (Ego) that no longer served me (i.e. Catholics do not divorce / in God’s eye’s I’m still married / a divorced woman cannot be with another man, etc. etc. etc.)~~ Would who I have become . . . would my SELF growth & ability to share with others exist today if I had chosen “old belief systems” (Ego)?

            We were born with FREE WILL & FREE CHOICE ~~ our EGO;-)

The ego is a most wonderful, extraordinary computer.It keeps you from running a red light when you’re driving.It files away every life experience we have . . . and . . . 

When we make a decision that “feels right” (our Spirit),“it” (our Ego) draws on it’s memory banks (past experiences) to give you an equal & opposite CHOICE.

Notice that I said EQUAL & OPPOSITE ~~ Therefore, the experiences, such as:

1)You decide to change jobs . . . and, then, all-of-a-sudden everything at work just seems to get better.

2)You decide to leave a relationship . . . and . . . the person you’re leaving either promises they’ll change completely . . . or . . . they use every “guilt”button possible.

AGAIN ~~ The Ego will ALWAYS give you an EQUALLY STRONG choice to look at ~~ and ~~ that choice will be completely OPPOSITE of your “feeling choice” (Spirit).

Years later, when I CHOSE to “follow-my-heart” and move to California, my employer at the time offered to double my salary if I would stay.I quietly told my Ego (double salary) “thank you, but no thanks” . . . and . . . moved to California.

About nine years ago, I moved to Dallas.I experienced a year-long depression ~~ I ALLOWED it (Spirit ­ a time to ‘clean out/renew’) . . . even though my conscious mind (Ego) continually gave me thoughts of “you should be working” . . . “you have to get a job” . . . . “you’re worthless” . . . . “you were brought up more responsible than this” . . . etc. etc. etc.The miracle at the end of that year was my validation that I made the right choice (for me).(full story in previous Newsletter & given @ Life Balance Workshop)

About 2 1/2 years ago, when I decided to “put-my-name-to-a-five-year-lease” (my Spirit) to have the space we now call Dynamic Power Yoga PLUS!, I was simultaneously bombarded with offers from health facilities asking that I lead their respective “yoga &/or fitness departments (my Ego). 

Again ~~ The FREE WILL/FREE CHOICE will always be EQUAL & OPPOSITE to whatever & wherever your Spirit is leading you.

It is all good ~~ What is important is to begin “SEEING” the situation with AWARENESS and using your computer (Ego) to benefit you.

Next time you make a decision and feel “guilty” about it ~~ The GUILTY FEELING is your very first Wake-Up Call!!As soon as you feel the feeling of “guilt”~~STOP!!~~Go somewhere where you can think ~~ Ask yourSELF why you feel guilty?

Almost always, you will find that the “guilt feelings” belonged to someone else ~~ Someone who had learned “that way” . . . and . . . taught “that way” to YOU ~~

Then ~~ Ask yourself ~~ Does this “guilt” serve ME in this day & time?

Most of us were taught to be extremely respectful and responsible ~~ to OTHER PEOPLE’s feelings.So much so that we no longer know what our OWN feelings are.Through many life experiences, we have each learned that ignoring our own feelings and desires have LITERALLY caused physical (& emotional/mental/spiritual) ailments in our very BEING.

Let others be responsible for what they feel ~~ YOU be responsible for what YOU feel ~~ Miraculously & (many times) simultaneously, the result is very positive for BOTH when you have the courage to BE “you” first.

·         The Animal Rescue Site is having trouble getting enough people to click on it. There's a bill called the Breast Cancer Patient Protection Act which will require insurance companies to cover a minimum 48-hour hospital stay for patients undergoing a mastectomy.      It's about eliminating the "drive-through mastectomy" where women are forced to go home hours after surgery against the wishes of their doctor, still groggy from anesthesia and sometimes with drainage tubes still attached.Lifetime Television has put this bill on their web page with a petition drive to show your support.  Last year over half the House signed on.
