You can see the
boom arm in this photo. It was made
to lift the motor down into the inflatable.
When I use it, I hook the main halyard to the end of it. I use the boom vang for lifting. You can see it hanging down from the end
of the boom arm. |
Bruce and Joanna in
Tarpon Basin off Key Largo, Florida. A fellow cruiser came by and took this picture for me. (My legs hadn’t seen any sun in twenty years!) |

Crowded anchorage outside
Dinner Key Marina, Coconut Grove, Miami, Florida. |
Here you can see the 3” flexible hose I used to bring the wind down into the bilge to help dry it out after the keel bolt leaked. |

Everglades National Park, Paradise Beach (very
secluded) Swordfish got me eye…Barracuda got me hand… Shark got me leg… The sea got me heart! |
This is where I sealed the
leak around the keel cable fitting. I
added two more tubes of caulk a couple of days later. |

Joanna at the county park dock,
Black Point, Biscayne Bay She looks as tired as I felt after grounding and beating through the storm. |
What is this thing? |

Playing ball with ‘Mr.
Wilson’, a coconut I found. Joanna is in the background. My finger was wrapped up from closing my yachtsman’s knife on it. It ended up getting infected before I finally got it healed up. |
Biscayne Bay, Florida Ready for the storm. |
