Thank you to Donna Blake, Sandi Cook, and Carol McKenzie for bringing refreshments to the June meeting.
As you know, August 17th is our ice cream social at Los Segos. Come on out about 4:00 p.m. for swimming or around 6:00 p.m. for a potluck dinner and homemade ice cream. Plates, silverware, and napkins will be furnished. So come on out and beat the heat.
Several meetings ago two coats were left after a meeting. One is a heavy teal coat with two pockets on the outside - size medium. It has a red inside.
The other is a lightweight jacket which is grey and has a Bateson Centex logo above the pocket. One pocket yields a new package of Trident gum and some chapstick.
If either of these jackets are yours, please let Lora Featherston know and we'll be glad to return them to you.

* Why are there flotation devices under plane seats instead of parachutes?
* If nothing sticks to Teflon, how do you make Teflon stick to the pan?
* Why do they put Braille dots on the keypad of the drive-up ATM machine?
* Why do we drive on parkways and park on driveways?
* You know the indestructible black box that is used on airplanes - why can't they make the whole plane out of the same substance?
* Why don't sheep shrink when it rains?
I'm sad to say that as of tonight (Thursday), Foster has been returned to his owners. After having him for eight days, finally coming home from work today signs had been put up describing him exactly. I really had to force myself to make the call to return him! For all of us who were trying to guess his age, he is eight months old, and his real name is Dillan. What a precious dog. I never knew a puppy could be so good. I'm just glad that we were able to have so much fun with him for eight days, and glad that he got to go cruising with us all! It was such a joy to be his foster parents!
