Elf: It's What's for Dinner!

So on my Orc off days, I have been trying out various Elf strategies, and the following Elf army has turned out to be pretty solid. Much like the tournament winning Orc army featured elsewhere on this page, this Army is designed to be used with the Gen-Con Championship scenario, as our group likes this one, and it seems pretty solid.

This army is set up specifically to use the Gen-Con Championships scenario, and works pretty well in that environment. The first 9 disks on the table the the Fairy Swarms, Deepwood Archers, and Prince Leronath. Use the Fairies to shield the rest of your units from Fireballs, have Leronath cast Feet of Clay on the enemy, and advance on the center land. Try and keep the Fairies within 12" of Leronath for the next turn. T2, reinforce with the Longbowmen, the Warder, Solonar, Oberiene, and the Riders. Have Leronath cast Zip, and immediately take the high ground, and wait for the enemy to come to you. The Zipped Fairies can tie up quite a few of the enemies units right quick, so make the most of them. On T3, bring in the rest of your units, and use the Bards to allow important units to get where they need to be, and use the mobile archer units (Ailan, the Little Cuban Elf and pals) to pick off opportunity targets.

The key to success with this army, is however, playing on a soft surface, like felt. If you are playing on a hard, wooden table, your arrows aren't going to hit anything, but on a felt surface, arrows tend to hit with a minimum of like, 50% accuracy, which is all you really need.
