The Presidential Tour

Mark and Cathy Church #141

On the Road Again...

Still Under Construction

"So, where you wanna to go today?"
"I dunno, where you want to go?"
"The beach?"
"Nah!"
"How 'bout the mountains?"
"No, we just got back from there last week."
"I know, how about.."
"Been there, done that!"
"Where is there to go???"

Does the above conversation make your hair hurt?
Well the folks at Teamstrange must have thought so, and immediately put their top minds to work searching for an answer to the "where do we go?" dilemma.
Their highly trained experts finally came up with the Presidential Tour.
Visit a bunch of towns named after a few dead guys, seek out where they were born, or trek halfway around the country to see some monument built to immortalize a few of them and the problem is solved!
Right!
And maybe, just maybe, you may learn a little something about US Presidential history along the way.

PRESIDENCY, n. The greased pig in the field game of American politics. ~Ambrose Bierce

The tour started April 15, 2001 and ended October 31, 2001.  Below is our total score.  Although the score isn't very high (some folks managed scores over 150) we had a great time.  We combined this tour with the AWSHIDT to keep us busy for 2001.  During the tour, Cathy and I strayed quite a bit   from our objective and saw lots of other interesting sites along the way.  We visited museums, battlefields, historic homes and villages, went to burial grounds and parks that were along the way.  Many of these things we may not have otherwise seen if it weren't for the tour getting us interested in a little US history.  I like to think I'm just a bit smarter now, thanks again TeamStrange!
