"Dorothy Jean was injured in birth and though she never breathed, her little
heart struggled to survive for some time, but finally gave up. We made a
little casket lined with pink taffeta, and she was laid to rest the next day in
the Lund Cemetery in our family plot". The preceding is from the writings of
