Sandra Manigault, B.S., M.A., is a study in contrasts. As an academic, she teaches mathematics at Northern Virginia Community College. Prior to that, she taught high school, prepared hundreds of students for the S.A.T., and designed standardized tests. She is a gifted public speaker and is a frequent conference facilitator. This is the professional Sandra. In contrast, Sandra is an artist. As a creative, she is an abstract painter and avid writer; musically, a pianist who still loves the instrument, but now plays it infrequently, and a former cellist. She loves dance as an art form, and believes that the greatest contribution to life is art in its myriad forms. She is the mother of two adult children (about whom you will read in her memoir) and has been happily married to the same man for over thirty years. She is a conference facilitator and offers workshops addressing the development of scholars and personal empowerment. Among her favorite workshops are:

    • "Is there a book in you"
    • "Connecting With a Hostile Audience: Teaching the Math Scared"
    • "Personal Transformation: Creating the Life You Want to Live"

You will find that Sandra Manigault has many different and unique talents that would be
an asset to you during her tour.
