My father was Willie Monroe BALLEW born January 14, 1901...my
grandfather was John Burton BALLEW and my grandmother was Dora
Belle (Housewright) Ballew...Dad's relatives, on his father's side
of the family, are almost all unknown because of some long ago
reason. He said his own Dad had left home very young and never
even talked about his family, or allowed any communication with
them...Mother and Dad had no boys, only four girls. So I guess
this means the end of the BALLEW name as far as Dad's family goes.
